“Loppet, snoppit, floppet, boppit…what is a LOPPET???”

It's fun!

It's exhilarating!

It's scenic!

It's social!

It's a cross country ski “race” for skiers of all levels…and after a long hiatus, the Caledon Hills Bruce Trail Club Loppet is returning on Sunday February 7 th , 2010 at 11 am …Come for a pleasant and exhilarating ski tour of about 5 km (well, maybe a bit more…) on parts of the Bruce Trail, Hockleycrest Side Trail and private trails at Hockleycrest Farm, followed by chili (meat or vegetarian) and refreshments.

Cost: $10 at Hockleycrest Farm, 933445 Airport Rd , Mono, 4.4 km north of Highway 9, east side.

This event is snow and weather dependent; if conditions are not suitable, we will cancel.

(CHBTC Land Steward Dave Moule has carefully laid out the route to make it interesting, safe and do-able.)

Register by Wed. Feb 3 by e mail to salydave@sympatico.ca .

Inquiries on loppet weekend: 519 940 9258.

To keep the event manageable, we will accept the first 25 skiers to register.

Rumour has it that the youngest skier to register so far is age 13 and the oldest is 80 plus and not telling…

All participants will receive a Caledon Hills Loppet badge!

All proceeds don't go down the rabbit hole – (no slight to rabbits!) - they go to support the Bruce Trail Conservancy.
