Caledon Hills Club hosts the Fall Colours End to End on October 10, 2011

It was a glorious Thanksgiving Weekend and over 70 hikers laced up their boots and took to the trails of Caledon Hills as part of the Club’s annual end to end event.  There was a two day option with hikers completing 35 km each day.  The three day option had hikers doing around 23 km each day.  They all found out that there are some hills in Caledon Hills.  Not all the hikers hiked each day, some took time off for turkey, but 15 completed the 2 day, 70 km challenge and 28 completed the 70 km over 3 days.  Those who did complete the trek received the very popular fall colours badge.  Many compliments were heard for the quality of the trail (thank our trail workers), the organization of the event (thank Peter Leeney) and the treats and encouragement at the checkpoints (thank our team of amazing volunteers).  The scenery and perfect weather got a lot of good reviews, but we can’t really take credit for that.
